Is there a membership fee to join Star Teacher?

No, your membership is FREE! It's our way of thanking our best customers for shopping at Office Depot.

How can I earn Rewards?

You can earn Rewards by shopping at Office Depot. Present your Star Teacher Member Card or provide your Membership Number when you are shopping in-store, by phone, or on-line.

As a Star Teacher Member, how will I earn a Reward, and when would I receive my Office Depot Reward Card?

You'll receive at least $10 in Rewards when you get 10% Back on ink, toner, and paper, PLUS get 1% Back on nearly everything else.

Example: Spend $50 on ink (accrue $5 in Rewards) and $300 on furniture and $200 on a Office Chair (accrue $5 in Rewards)
        $5 PLUS $5 = $10 in Rewards

Example: Spend $100 on paper (accrue $10 in Rewards) and $250 on a camera (accrue $2.50 in Rewards)
        $10 PLUS $2.50 = $12.50 in Rewards

Office Depot Reward Cards are issued within 60 days after the end of each Reward period. Reward periods are the same as calendar quarters and balances are carried over quarter to quarter for a calendar year.

Are there items that do not qualify me to earn Rewards?

There are a few exclusions. Please refer to the Reward Credit section of the Terms and Conditions for a list of exclusions.

When will I receive my Star Teacher Member Card?

If you enrolled using the Member Number printed on the Member Card enclosed in the program brochure, that is your permanent Member Card. If you did not use a pre-printed Member Number during your enrollment, you will receive your permanent Member Card in approximately 4 - 6 weeks.

How can I participate in My Special Offers?

If you're not an existing Member, join Star Teacher now to begin enjoying Special Offers created just for you!

If you are an existing Member, go to www.mystarteacher.com and click on the "Log In" button. Enter your Member Number and PIN and click the "Log In" button again. Will Office Depot Reward Cards expire?

Office Depot Reward Cards are valid for 90 days. If you do not use your Office Depot Reward Card in-store, online or over the phone during the specified period, the card will expire.

Will I receive any other promotional offers?

Yes. As a member, you will receive promotional offers via e-mail to help you save even more, based upon the types of products that you already like to buy. If you're not yet a Member, please be sure to provide a valid e-mail address when you enroll.

Will my membership information be shared with other companies?

Can I submit a request to add a missing purchase made before I registered into the program?

If your member number was given at the time of the transaction, the purchase will automatically be applied after you register. You must register in the quarter the transaction was made or in the following reward quarter to receive credit. If your member number was not scanned at the time of transaction, then it cannot be applied.

How can I change my contact information?

Visit www.mystarteacher.com and click on the "Log In" button. Enter your Member Number and PIN and click the "Log In" button again. Then click on the "Manage My Account" link to update your contact information. Once you have updated your contact information, click the "Submit" button in order for the information to get updated. You can also change your contact information by calling Star Teacher Member Services at 1.877.789.4544, Monday to Friday, 9am to 8pm, EST.

If I lose my card and need to order a replacement, or would like to order additional Star Teacher cards, what should I do?

To print additional Star Teacher Member Cards, please click on the "Print Your Member Card" link under the Customer Service Section. A PDF will open in a new window. Print this page and take it to your nearest Office Depot store to have the cards laminated for free!
To request a permanent replacement Star Teacher Member Card or additional permanent cards please send an email to MemberServices@MyStarTeacher.com or call Star Teacher Member Services at 1.877.789.4544, Monday to Friday, 9am to 8pm, EST. There are no fees for requesting additional Star Teacher Member Cards.

I forgot to use my Star Teacher Member Card while I was shopping, am I still eligible to earn Rewards for my purchase?

Yes, go online to www.mystarteacher.com and click on the "Log In" button. Enter your Member Number and PIN and click the "Log In" button again. Then click on the "Add a Purchase" link. Please choose either a Store Purchase or Delivery Order and click the "Submit" button. You will need your sales receipt in order to enter the required information. Once the information is entered, click the "Submit" button in order for the purchase to be added. You can also add a puchase by calling Star Teacher Member Services at 1.877.789.4544, Monday to Friday, 9am to 8pm, EST. Please make certain that you have your receipt or invoice available when calling Member Services.

Can I submit a request to add a purchase from a previous calendar year?

Unfortunately, we are unable to add previous calendar year purchases to your Star Teacher account. Missing transactions for purchases made within the current calendar year may be added at any time during the current calendar year, but must be added by January 3 of the following calendar year. Purchases made during a prior calendar year cannot be added. During the calendar year, you can carry over rewards from quarter to quarter if the minimum requirement is not met.

Enter the Member Number and Email Address which you provided when you joined the Star Teacher Program and click the "Submit" button. You should be receiving an email with your PIN number. If you forgot your Star Teacher PIN number or if you did not provide us with an e-mail address at the time of registration, you can also call Star Teacher Member Services at 1.877.789.4544, Monday to Friday, 9am to 8pm, EST.

What is the Teacher Appreciation Breakfast?

The Teacher Appreciation Breakfast is annual event held in late summer offering Star Teachers an instant discount, free giveaways, and a complimentary continental breakfast.

When is the Teacher Appreciation Breakfast held?

Teacher Appreciation Breakfasts are held on Saturday mornings during the Back to School season and vary by store location based on school start dates in their area. Be sure to visit www.mystarteacher.com throughout the year for details on all of our teacher appreciation events.

My school starts before my store's event. Why?

Though we do our best to host events prior to school start dates, there may be situations where we were unable to accommodate a specific school's start date. Visit www.mystarteacher.com for additional locations and event dates that may be more convenient for your schedule.

Can I pick up my Teacher Appreciation Week bag any day of the week?

Bags can only be picked up during the Saturday breakfast. However, you can take advantage of the 10% discount throughout the week. Be sure to visit www.mystarteacher.com throughout the year for details on all of our teacher appreciation events.

Is the summer breakfast the only special event held for Star Teachers?

No! Office Depot hosts three teacher appreciation events throughout the year. Be sure to visit us during January Star Teacher Days, May Teacher Appreciation Week, and our Teacher Appreciation Week during our Back-to-School season.

I didn't hear about this year's event. How can I be sure to find about future events?

No, there is no limit to the amount of rebates you can earn.

Are there any exclusions to the Office Depot® Worklife Rewards™ Visa® Credit Card where I won't receive rebates?

There are NO PRODUCT EXCLUSIONS at Office Depot®! That's right, you will get rebates on EVERYTHING you purchase at Office Depot® including postage stamps, computers, and gift cards!

Rebates are not earned on balance transfers, cash advances, checks used to access your account, money-orders, overdraft advances, interest, unauthorized or fraudulent charges, fees of any kind, finance charges, gaming transaction or similar purchases, or fee-related products.

Redeeming Rebates
How do I redeem my Worklife Rewards Visa® Credit Card Rebates?

All rebates will automatically accrue and be summarized on your monthly billing statement. The rebate total from your previous statement will automatically be applied as a statement credit in the next billing statement containing an Office Depot® purchase. You only need to make one Office Depot® purchase per month for any amount and your statement credit will automatically be applied. If you do not make an Office Depot® purchase in a given month, your rebates will continue to accrue and be summarized on your monthly billing statement. They will be applied the next month that an Office Depot® purchase is made.

How do I keep track of my rebates?

Your rebates will post on your monthly Visa credit card statement so you can see how much you earn each month. You can also track your rebate credits on your monthly online statement at www.chase.com/officedepot.

Do my rebates ever expire?

No, your rebates never expire.

What do I get back for each cartridge recycled?

For every cartridge you recycle in-store you will receive $3 back in Recycling Rewards! (Up to a limit of 5 per day. You can recycle additional cartridges but Recycling Rewards will only be issued for 5 per day.)

Is there a limit to the amount of Rewards I can get?

Yes, your Recycling Rewards will not exceed the amount of your total qualifying annual Office Depot purchases (Qualifying purchases exclude taxes; shipping; postage stamps; and prepaid gift, merchandise, debit, phone or service cards). What ink and toner cartridges qualify for the recycling program?

Starting 07/01/09, you can recycle ANY ink and toner cartridge - NO MATTER WHICH BRAND IT IS!

How many cartridges can I recycle per day and get rewarded for?

Members can recycle up to 5 ink and toner cartridges per day - we'll take back any brand! You can recycle additional cartridges but Recycling Rewards will only be issued for 5 per day

Please allow 4 - 6 weeks for your Recycling Rewards to be posted on your account. Your Recycling Rewards will show under the Additional Promotions section. Please keep your recycling receipts for your records.

How can I participate in the Office Depot® Ink and Toner Recycling Program?

To participate in the Office Depot® Ink and Toner Recycling Program you must be a Member of the Worklife Rewards® or Star Teacher Programs and provide your Member Number every time you bring in ink and/or toner cartridges to any Office Depot® store in the USA, Canada and Puerto Rico for recycling. Recycling Rewards will be issued as part of your Worklife Rewards® or Star Teacher Mailer. Limit one Worklife Rewards® or Star Teacher account per household.

When will I receive my Recycling Rewards?

Recycling Rewards will be issued as part of your Worklife Rewards® or Star Teacher Mailers. You will receive an Office Depot® Reward Card within 60 days after the end of each quarter if you earned at least $10 in Worklife Rewards and/or Recycling Rewards. Unearned Recycling Rewards will carry over from quarter to quarter and will expire at the end of the year.

How can I redeem my Recycling Rewards?

You can redeem your Recycling Rewards before the expiration date in-store, online or by phone on purchases of merchandise only, which exclude any type of prepaid gift merchandise, debit or service cards, including, without limitation, Visa, MasterCard and AmEx debit cards, prepaid telephone cards, etc. Reward Cards may not be exchanged for Office Depot® Gift or Merchandise Cards.
